WASHINGTON, D.C.- Yesterday, U.S. Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-43), Ranking Member of the House Financial Services Committee, released committee assignments announcing that Congresswoman Joyce Beatty will continue her leadership as Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on National Security, Illicit Finance, and International Financial Institutions, for the 119th Congress.
Congresswoman Beatty released the following statement in response to her ongoing leadership on the Subcommittee:
"It is a sincere privilege to continue to serve as Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on National Security, Illicit Finance, and International Financial Institutions for another Congress. In today's evolving global landscape, it's critical that we have consistent, forward-thinking leaders that understand America's greatest financial threats," said Congresswoman Beatty. "I am thankful to Ranking Member Maxine Waters and my Democratic colleagues for entrusting me to steer the fight to deter financial crime, protect our economy from national security threats, and preserve U.S. leadership in international finance."
In the 119th Congress, the exclusive Financial Services Committee will be made up of 54 Members of Congress, of which 24 are Democrats and 30 are Republicans. The Committee's work will be handled by 6 subcommittees.
