01/22/2025—Date Set for State of the Judiciary

Atlanta, January 22, 2025 - Supreme Court of Georgia Chief Justice Michael P. Boggs is scheduled to deliver his third State of the Judiciary address to the Georgia General Assembly on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 11 a.m. Eastern.

Chief Justice Boggs will update legislators on a variety of topics, including initiatives to increase access to legal services and improve the administration of justice, as well as the importance of an independent judiciary in preserving the rule of law.

The speech to the joint session of the House and Senate will take place in the House Chambers of the Capitol. Media will receive an embargoed copy of the Chief Justice's remarks before the address on Tuesday morning. The speech will be live-streamed by Georgia Public Broadcasting as well as shared on the Supreme Court's website at gasupreme.us.
