Panagiota Babadelis Promoted to Senior Director of Marketing and Communications

Panagiota Babadelis, Director of Marketing, has been promoted to Senior Director of Marketing and Communications. Babadelis will now oversee the Marketing and Communications Department, which includes Marketing, Communications and External Relations, Design, and Recruitment Services.

Babadelis started her journey at Berkeley College as a student in 2018 where she earned an Associate's degree, then a Bachelor's degree, and ultimately a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2023. She was the recipient of the Class of 2021 Outstanding Student of the Year Award.

"I was overjoyed to learn about Panagiota Babadelis' promotion. She truly embodies our College's mission," lauded Byron Hargrove, PhD, Director, Division of General Education. "As one of her former professors and current mentor, I am inspired by how she has leveraged her diverse work experiences and academic achievements - earning an Associate's, Bachelor's, and MBA - to rise to the top of the Marketing department. I can't think of a better person to understand and promote the College's brand. Knowing her, she will lead her team with vision and integrity, view the College holistically, enhance cross-departmental relations, and share our student and faculty stories with compassion."

During her time here, Panagiota has served as a peer tutor in the Center for Academic Success, a teaching assistant in the Honor's Program, and an intern in the Office of Communications and External Relations, where she later became an Assistant to the department. After working with Government Relations, Panagiota joined the External Engagement team as a Marketing Associate in 2021, was promoted to Marketing Manager in 2022, and was promoted to Adjunct Professor for the Division of General Education and Director of Marketing in 2023.

Fellow professor Melissa Baralt, PhD, shared, "As an educator, it has been my life's honor to observe Ms. Panagiota Babadelis blossom into a consummate professional. She is Berkeley College's dream and testament; her rise represents the essence of what we stand for as an educational institution. A proud woman of color who has been nurtured and cultivated to pursue excellence - congratulations!"

Babadelis manages Berkeley College partnerships with organizations including the New York City Football Club, iHeart Media, and NJ TRANSIT, as well as all of the advertising campaigns across multimedia platforms. "Her positive outlook, natural leadership, and enthusiasm to mentor future generations of graduates serve Berkeley College well as she exemplifies the tenet of 'Students First,'" asserted Kevin Luing, Chairman of the Board, Berkeley College.
