Sen. Ossoff Making it Easier for Georgia Kids to Safely Get to Boys & Girls Club of Lanier

Gainesville, Ga. - U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering resources to help kids safely get to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lanier.

Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to deliver Federal funding to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lanier, which they plan to use to purchase two vans for transportation to and from their programming so students can receive tutoring, mentoring, and other academic and enrichment support.

Sen. Ossoff is delivering $190,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on February 3.

"Bringing Republicans and Democrats together, I've appropriated funds to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lanier to help kids across North Georgia get to and from their Boys and Girls Clubs," Sen. Ossoff said.

"When young people in northeast Georgia have what they need to succeed, the whole community moves forward. That's what we're building toward," said Steven Mickens, Chief Executive Officer, Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier.
