Fire Department Holding Engine 4 Push-In Ceremony Friday

Fredericksburg, Texas - The Fredericksburg Fire/EMS Department will host a Push-In Ceremony as its newest apparatus, Engine 4, is officially placed into service at 7 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony, which will be held at the Downtown Fire Station at 124 W. Main St.

Friday's date was chosen in memory of 927, Captain Stacy Kuhlmann, to commemorate his dedication to the Department and community. He was instrumental in the design and purchase of the apparatus. Kuhlmann was killed in a car accident in 2023.

Engine 4 is a 2022 Kenworth T880, 2,500-gallon pumper/tender, with a 2,000 gallon per minute pump. It was manufactured by Pierce.

The Department would like to thank the City Manager, City Council, and County Commissioners, for authorizing the purchase of this apparatus.
