Participation in the Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Central Asia and United Kingdom in the 'C5+1' Format

On 26 February 2026, the first meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Central Asian countries and the United Kingdom within the "C5+1" format was held in London. The delegation from Tajikistan, led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin participated in the event.

During the meeting, the parties addressed key international and regional issues and exchanged views on expanding economic and trade cooperation, attracting investment, strengthening security partnerships, and other areas of mutual interest.

In his speech, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan highlighted that in recent years, cooperation between Tajikistan and the United Kingdom has developed positively across the economy, investment, industry, education, and science. He emphasized that the holding of this meeting reflects the strong commitment of the countries of the region to reinforcing constructive partnership with the United Kingdom and to ensuring sustainable development in Central Asia.

The meeting also underscored the importance of joint efforts to mitigate the impacts of climate change, advance water and climate initiatives, promote intercultural dialogue.
