Truist appoints Chris Pirkle to lead small business regional coverage

CHARLOTTE, N.C., (March 18, 2026) -Truist Financial Corporation (NYSE: TFC) announced the appointment of Chris Pirkle as head of small business regional relationship coverage and service. This strategic leadership role focuses on advancing Truist's commitment to tailored advice and support for 1.2 million small business clients.


In this role, Pirkle will lead service delivery and sales execution across Truist markets, including seven of the 10 fastest-growing markets in the United States. He will be responsible for driving sustainable growth, improving profitability and maintaining strong portfolio quality while delivering consistent, advice-led experiences for small business banking clients at scale.

Under Pirkle's leadership, Truist will continue to enhance its small business segment and regional coverage model by further aligning relationship management, sales execution and service delivery. This approach sharpens the company's focus on high-impact opportunities, deepens local relationships, improves coordination across channels and drives consistent performance for clients, communities and shareholders.

Prior to joining Truist, Pirkle served as head of Southeast and Mid-Atlantic corporate banking at HSBC, leading teams that managed relationships with large companies and delivered lending, trade finance, and global banking services through HSBC's international network. He earned an MBA from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business, with a focus on banking, finance and economics.
