Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu Meets with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia Eng. Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji

On December 9, 2025, Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia Eng. Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji on the sidelines of the third meeting of the China-Iran-Saudi Arabia Trilateral Joint Committee in Tehran. Chinese Ambassador to Iran Cong Peiwu attended the meeting.

Miao Deyu said that in recent years, under the strategic leadership of President Xi Jinping, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, China-Saudi Arabia relations have developed steadily and rapidly. China is ready to work with Saudi Arabia to implement the important common understandings reached by the leaders of both countries and advance the China-Saudi Arabia comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level. China is also ready to make full use of the Trilateral Joint Committee mechanism to promote the improvement and development of Saudi Arabia-Iran relations and ensure deeper and more substantial trilateral cooperation.

Eng. Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji said that China is one of Saudi Arabia's most important comprehensive strategic partners. Saudi Arabia will continue to firmly adhere to the one-China policy, expand cooperation in various fields between the two countries, and promote greater development of Saudi Arabia-China relations. Saudi Arabia is willing to work with China and Iran to ensure the success of the meeting of the joint committee and advance further development of trilateral cooperation.
