Replacement of Roadway Illumination System in East Hartford and Manchester

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that replacement of roadway illumination on the I-84 and I-384 interchange in East Hartford and Manchester will be starting on Monday, July 27, 2026.

This project consists of the replacement of existing roadway lightings system on the I-84 and I-384 interchange in East Hartford and Manchester.

DOT Project No. 0171-0508/0515 was awarded to Superior Electric, LLC at a cost of $8,972,815.00 on January 27, 2026, and is scheduled to be completed January 12, 2028. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District One in Rocky Hill.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-84 and I-384 in East Hartford and Manchester Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., as well as Saturday and Sundays.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
