GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The City of Grand Rapids wants families to have a fun and safe Halloween, Thursday, Oct. 31. In addition to trick-or-treating on Halloween, there may be other themed events, like trunk-or-treats, sponsored by individual groups, such as neighborhood associations, churches, and other organizations that occur on other dates.
For those who plan to trick-or-treat or pass out candy on Halloween or at other events, here are safety tips from the Grand Rapids Police Department:
