Pueblo County - The Colorado Department of Transportation, with its contract partner Martin Marietta, has completed surface treatment work on Interstate 25 through the City of Pueblo. The work took place along I-25 from mile point 92 south of Pueblo to MP 102 near Eagleridge Boulevard.
"This resurfacing project was a regional priority for CDOT," said Shane Ferguson, CDOT regional transportation director. "We are pleased that I-25 through the City of Pueblo is now improved. A well-maintained roadway is essential for safety for residents, employers and visitors along this busy corridor."
Contracting partner, Martin Marietta, milled the existing asphalt, paved with new asphalt, installed rumble strips, replaced guardrail, new pavement marking and new roadway delineation markers. The new asphalt will add approximately 10 years of life to the highway, provide a smoother road surface improving drivability and safer driving conditions for motorists.
