ATLANTA (February 10, 2026) - Today, Sen. Max Burns (R-Sylvania) expressed his support for two major economic development projects set to come to the 23rd Senate District.
Dongwon Autopart Technology announced its intent to invest over $30 million in a production facility near Swainsboro. The Korean-based auto component manufacturer currently supports hundreds of jobs across the Southeast and is estimated to introduce 200 new jobs into the local community, including management and production positions. Additionally, Preciball USA, a manufacturer specializing in industrial balls, intends to invest over $17 million in a production facility in Sylvania. This addition is projected to create 65 new jobs in Screven County, including management, engineering, production and technical roles.
"We are elated to welcome Dongwon Autopart Technology and Preciball USA to the 23rd Senate District," said Sen. Burns. "These esteemed manufacturers provide products for several of our state industries, and will now provide an influx of careers for our citizens. I am thankful to Governor Brian Kemp, the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the Georgia Ports Authority, Georgia Power and our local development authorities for their role in bringing these growth opportunities to Augusta. These projects are among the largest economic development investments our district has seen in more than 30 years, and I look forward to the positive impact they will have on our community."
Both projects are the result of a collaboration between the Georgia Department of Economic Development's Global Commerce team, the Emanuel County and Screven County Development Authorities, Georgia Ports Authority, and Georgia Power. Dongwon Autopart Technology is expected to begin hiring later this year, and Preciball USA will begin in 2027.
