Police have charged a man over a number of break and enters and theft in state's south.
On Saturday (11 January 2025), officers attached to The Hume Police District commenced an investigation following reports of items were stolen from number of businesses and a community facility:
Initial inquiries alleged the four incidents are linked.
Following extensive inquiries, about 10.45am today (22 January 2025), police arrested a 47-year-old man at an address on Jacqua Avenue, Goulburn.
Police also seized bikes, his clothes and packages - believed to be stolen -for a forensic examination.
He was taken to Goulburn Police Station where he was charged with break and enter house etc steal value less than or equal to $60,000(three counts), shoplifting, and goods suspected stolen in/on premises.
He was refused bail to appear at Goulburn Local Court tomorrow (Thursday 23 January 2025).
