BUCKEYE, AZ (July 21, 2025): A Buckeye man is in jail following an investigation into dozens of thefts from cell tower sites across the state. The suspect is believed to have stolen communications equipment worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and selling it online.
On June 10, 2025, Buckeye police responded to a report of a break-in at a cell phone tower in Tartesso off Sun Valley Pkwy where high dollar equipment was stolen including an industrial router. Detectives began working with cell phone carrier T-Mobile and learned there had been more than 35 similar break-ins at cell towers in the Phoenix metro area. It was also learned that some of the stolen equipment had been sold on eBay. Detectives soon developed information pointing to a former contractor identified as 38-year-old Jeremiah Ramage.
On July 17, 2025, detectives located Ramage driving a pickup truck near Sun Valley Pkwy and Thomas Rd and conducted a traffic stop. Ramage was arrested without incident. Inside the truck, investigators found cell tower equipment linked to burglaries at sites in Southern Arizona and a stolen handgun. Detectives later served a search warrant at Ramage's Buckeye home and recovered hundreds of items belonging to multiple cell service providers. Ramage was booked into jail on charges including burglary, theft, and trafficking stolen property.
