On November 11, Chinese Consul General in Penang Zhou Youbin attended the Memorial Ceremony for Nanyang Volunteers and Victims of World War II. Penang State EXCO YB Wong Hon Wai as representative of Penang Chief Minister, Deputy Minister of Finance of Malaysia YB Lim Hui Ying, Chairman of the Management Committee of Penang Overseas Chinese Volunteer Drivers and Mechanics and Victims in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression Monument Dato'Seri Chuang Keng Kuang, and representatives of more than 80 organizations including major political parties, Chinese associations, Chinese schools, and media in Penang attended the event.
