On 16 January 2025, H.E. Dr. Lalivan Karnchanachari, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended and delivered remarks at the Seafood Under the Stars Dinner 2025. This annual event is co-organized by the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bangkok, and the Norwegian Seafood Council to showcase Norway's innovation, sustainability, and culture through its renowned seafood and Norwegian companies operating in Thailand. The event also marked the 120th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Norway in 2025.

In her remarks, the Vice Minister underscored the strong and enduring ties between the two countries at all levels, as well as the shared commitment to sustainability and green transition. She further highlighted the continued growth of economic relations, particularly with the successful conclusion of negotiations for the Thailand-EFTA Free Trade Agreement, in which Norway is a key member country. Additionally, Thailand also ranks among the top importers of Norwegian seafood products in the region, especially salmon.
