Watch Lainey Wilson's Surprise Duet With HARDY In Costume

Lainey Wilson emerged on stage as a surprise guest during HARDY 's first of two back-to-back shows in Nashville, Tennessee.

Wilson and HARDY performed "wait in the truck," the haunting, powerful murder ballad they released as a single from HARDY's country-rock record, The mockingbird & THE CROW, in 2022. The storytelling duet depicts a man who takes matters into his own hands when he meets a woman stuck in a toxic relationship. During their surprise performance on Thursday night (October 29), Wilson wore a similar look that her character donned in the Justin Clough-directed music video. HARDY took the stage in a Hannibal Lecter mask and an orange jumpsuit. The show also included a surprise appearance by country star Lauren Alaina, who dressed as Chucky's Bride to join HARDY for their 2019 collaboration, "One Beer."

HARDY, who delivered a new 4-track collection on Friday (October 30), is playing a two -night run at The Truth, a 4,400-capacity venue that recently opened in the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood of Nashville. The HARDY Halloween lineup also includes McCoy Moore on both nights, plus Kasey Tyndall on Friday and Sikarus on Saturday, according to HARDY's announcement posted earlier this year.
