NMMA Personal Watercraft Sales Trends Report Offers Latest Market Insights

NMMA released its annual Personal Watercraft Sales Trends report, part of the 2025 U.S. Recreational Boating Statistical Abstract, providing a detailed look at the performance of the U.S. personal watercraft (PWC) market.

In 2025, U.S. PWC sales totaled 63,643 units with an average retail price of just over $16,000. Growth was driven largely by continued consumer preference for premium three-passenger models, which accounted for 89% of total unit sales.
This comprehensive annual report examines more than a decade of PWC market performance, offering valuable insights into long-term sales trends, pricing dynamics, and regional demand patterns.
Data included in the 2025 Personal Watercraft Sales Trends report includes:
  • Premium models continue to dominate: Three-passenger PWCs represented nearly nine out of every 10 units sold.
  • Regional demand remains concentrated: The South Atlantic and Great Lakes regions accounted for more than half of all PWC sales and market value. Florida remained the nation's leading state market with 10,650 units sold.
