In a recent video, Lauren Beckstedt, Chief Marketing Officer at Brunswick Corporation and member of the Discover Boating Advisory Group, reinforces the role Discover Boating plays in building awareness at the top of the industry marketing funnel and attracting new people to boating as part of a coordinated, industry-wide approach.
Putting that strategy into action, Discover Boating, powered by NMMA and MRAA, recently launched its integrated marketing campaign designed to reach the next generation of boaters and spark interest in getting on the water. The campaign features a robust mix of paid media, influencer and brand partnerships, relevant digital content, social media, consumer activations with on-water experiences and awareness-driving public relations efforts including a satellite media tour, public service campaign and national media coverage - all working together to meet target audiences where they are with messaging that resonates and inspires more people to go boating.
The campaign's performance will be measured through the new Discover Boating Health Score Index (HSI), a monthly dashboard for NMMA, MRAA and industry stakeholders to better understand what's working, what's changing and where to focus attention related to Discover Boating.
