Over $150,000 in donations make Christmas lights installation in downtown core possible

Thanks to several sponsors, participating downtown properties now feature LED lights on top of their buildings to enhance the festive spirit and beautify the heart of our downtown area during the holiday season.

The City of Nampa would like to express our sincere gratitude to the following sponsors for their donation, which made this project possible:

  • Kevin and Mary Daniels Fund ($100,000)
  • Republic Services gas rebate funding ($50,000)
  • Downtown Nampa Association ($13,000)
  • Nampa High School Class of 1975 ($1,000)

We would also like to thank Sparq Lighting for offering a discount on this community project and for their willingness to work under a short timeline to have this festive installation up in time for the holidays.

Despite some materials being on backorder, crews diligently completed the installation this week. The City of Nampa worked with property owners to install these festive lights at no cost to the core downtown property owners, thanks to the above donations.

Mayor Kling expressed gratitude for the donations that made this project possible, stating, "We are incredibly thankful for all the donations received, including $100,000 from the Kevin and Mary Daniels Fund. The installation of lights on top of downtown businesses has been a dream of mine for several years and an investment that will enhance the atmosphere in downtown Nampa for years to come."

We invite all residents and visitors to experience the beauty of downtown Nampa, now decorated with lights that reflect the joy and unity of our community during this special time of year. Additional funding is needed for future phases - if a local resident, organization or business is interested in donating, please contact the Office of the Mayor ([email protected] or 208-468-5401).
