Terra Linda Street Closures and Parking Restrictions Begin August 20 for Pavement Maintenance

Crews will resurface roughly 200,000 square yards of Terra Linda roadway to extend pavement life and smooth local streets.

Improvements are coming to streets throughout the Terra Linda neighborhood. Construction on the 2025/2026 Pavement Maintenance Project starts Thursday, August 20, 2026, and is expected to run through early September 2026.

The project will apply a slurry seal treatment to about 200,000 square yards of roadway. Slurry seal is a protective coating that fills small cracks and renews the road surface, helping streets last longer and stay smoother.

Once complete, the project will improve pavement conditions across dozens of Terra Linda streets and extend the life of the roads before more costly repairs are needed.

What to expect during construction

Work runs on weekdays over two phases. Crack seal work is scheduled for August 20, 21, 24, 26, and 28. Slurry seal work follows on August 25 through September 4. Dates are subject to change due to weather.

During the work, designated streets will be partially or fully closed, and there will be no parking on streets scheduled for treatment that day. Please move vehicles off the street before your block's scheduled date. Some blocks are closed by side ("even" or "odd" addresses) or in the morning versus afternoon, so watch for posted signs on your street.

Access to homes will be maintained whenever possible. The City will provide advance notice of significant access changes through project webpage updates and social media.

Traffic control and detours

Most affected streets are residential. Some will be fully closed for the day, while busier streets like Montecillo Road, Nova Albion Way, and Golden Hinde Boulevard will stay open with lane restrictions and flaggers directing traffic.

Drivers should allow extra time and use alternate routes when possible. Detour signs and traffic-control personnel will guide travelers through or around work areas. Follow all posted no-parking and closure signs.
