Side Event of the Republic of Tajikistan at the 61st Session of the UN Human Rights Council

On February 25, 2026, a side event titled "Youth and Artificial Intelligence: Shaping a Human Rights Future" was held in Geneva as part of the high-level segment of the 61st session of the UN Human Rights Council organized at the initiative of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the State of Qatar and co-sponsorship of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.

Permanent Representatives of Tajikistan, Qatar and Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva, the Deputy Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union, Tomas Lamanauskas, the First Deputy Director of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Hakim Ismoilzod (via video message) and others spoke on the event's theme.

During his speech, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan Sharaf Sheralizoda noted that, in light of the constructive policies of Tajikistan's leadership, national, regional, and international initiatives in the areas of digital development, artificial intelligence, and institutional reform are being implemented.
