Representative Abrams Provides Sponsor Testimony on Bill to Designate Deputy Larry Henderson Memorial Highway

COLUMBUS - State Representative Cindy Abrams (R-Harrison) today provided sponsor testimony before the House Transportation Committee on legislation to designate Deputy Larry Henderson Memorial Highway.

House Bill 471 will designate a portion of Interstate 275 in Hamilton County in honor of the fallen Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputy who was tragically killed while working security detail at the University of Cincinnati's Spring Commencement on May 2, 2025.

"Deputy Henderson exemplified bravery, selflessness, and dedication to his community," said Abrams. "Naming this highway is a meaningful way to remember and honor to the powerful legacy he leaves behind."

Deputy Henderson served his community with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office for 33 years, beginning in 1991.

House Bill 471 was voted unanimously out of committee and now awaits a vote on the House floor.
