Nightly Lane, Partial Ramp Closure Scheduled for Harbor Bridge Structural Improvement Project on Northbound US-101 in San Rafael

Construction starts Thursday, Sept. 17 from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next mornings
Marin County - Caltrans is scheduled to begin work on a structural improvement project on Northbound US-101 at the Harbor Bridge in San Rafael. The project will require nightly lane closures and a partial ramp closure.
Northbound lanes of US-101 will be closed nightly from Thursday, Sept. 17 through the morning of Sunday, Sept. 20 from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Additionally, Northbound US-101 lanes will be closed overnight from Monday, Sept. 21 through the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 22. At least one lane will be open for traffic.
The northbound US-101 off-ramp to 2nd Street will also be partially closed nightly from Thursday, Sept. 17 to Sunday, Sept. 20 between the same hours.
The project is expected to last about one month depending on weather and other factors.
Work on this project includes the installation of steel shims beneath the bridge and the application of polyester concrete on the low side of the bridge to restore the roadway profile.
