Escambia County to Host Diving Safety Symposium Oct. 12

Escambia County Marine Resources and the Marine Advisory Committee invite the public to attend a special Diving Safety Symposium Monday, Oct. 12 at 5:30 p.m. at the Escambia County Central Office Complex, 3363 W. Park Place.

The event will facilitate a discussion between recreational divers and diving professionals, emergency responders, and medical professionals around diving safety and emergency response procedures. The symposium's purpose is to improve awareness of prevention, safety measures and emergency response procedures for recreational diving, with a focus on the physiological and medical factors related to diving maladies and treatment.

This meeting is free and open to the public, and anyone interested in learning more about diving safety is invited and encouraged to attend.
