Beijing is set to create the country's first data business district (DBD) designed to empower traditional industries through the deep integration and innovative use of data. This initiative is expected to foster new data-driven business models, build a new business ecosystem with data at its core, and enhance Beijing's global influence in the digital economy.
The DBD will be anchored by the Beijing International Big Data Exchange and serve as a leading platform for data business infrastructure in China. A complete system covering data supply, development, and application will be established to accelerate the digital transformation of commerce, trade, and related fields. Key data commerce hubs will be set up across major areas of the capital, including the Central Business District (CBD), the Chaoyang Park of Zhongguancun Science Park, the National Cultural Industry Innovation Experimental Zone, and the Beijing Olympic Center.
Once completed, this DBD will encourage both Chinese and international enterprises, institutions, and organizations in the data sector to establish their presence in Beijing. With a projected high density of entities from the data and business sectors, this district is expected to ultimately become a national landmark for China's data sector.
