HOUSTON - Oct. 6, 2026 - Today, CenterPoint Energy released its latest GHRI update on the monumental progress it is making to build the most resilient coastal grid in the nation. As of Sept. 30, nearly 3,000 crew members are currently mobilized across the Greater Houston area on GHRI and have installed more than 83,500 storm-resilient poles, cleared more than 14,000 miles of higher-risk vegetation to reduce storm-related outages and undergrounded 900 miles of power lines to strengthen overall resiliency. Given the current progress of the company's resiliency efforts, CenterPoint's GHRI program is projected to prevent 150 million customer outage minutes in 2026, while also improving day-to-day reliability.
