Reno Fire Department to Recognize Promotions and New Hires at Badge Pinning Ceremony on January 22

The Reno Fire Department (RFD) is proud to recognize two new hires and 13 promotions during a badge pinning ceremony on Thursday, Jan. 22. The ceremony will be held in Reno City Hall Council Chambers, beginning at 11 a.m.

Family, friends, and community members who cannot attend in person, can watch the live ceremony on the Reno Fire Department's Facebook page.

New hires include:

  • Katie Buscaglia - Single Role Paramedic
  • Samuel Taylor - Single Role Paramedic

Promotions include:

  • Travis Bertrand - Battalion Chief
  • James Schmidt - Battalion Chief
  • Joshua Briggs - Fire Captain
  • Peter Fitch - Fire Captain
  • Rosa Myers - Fire Captain
  • Ross Neilson - Fire Captain
  • Rich Richhart - Fire Captain
  • Julian Angres - Fire Equipment Operator
  • Wesley Boatman - Fire Equipment Operator
  • Steven Figone - Fire Equipment Operator
  • Cody Puryear - Fire Equipment Operator
  • Matthew Suleski - Fire Equipment Operator
