Peoria County Offices Closed for December Holidays
The Peoria County Courthouse, Health and Human Services, Peoria County Animal Protection Services, Veterans Assistance Commission, Election Commission, and Highway Department Offices will be closed December 24-25, 2025, and January 1, 2026.
Additionally, the Peoria City/County Health Department will also be closed on Friday, December 26, 2025. The Peoria County Treasurer's Office will be closing at 2 p.m. on December 31 and closed all day on January 2, 2026. The Peoria County Clerk's Office will be closed all day on December 26, 2025 and January 2, 2026.

The Peoria County Sheriff's Office, Jail, and Juvenile Detention Center will remain staffed and functioning, but records and visitation will be closed December 24-25, 2025 and January 1, 2026. Inmates may still be visited remotely throughout the closure. The bonding lobby will retain normal hours.
