Subject to AS 38.95.080, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: RONALD DAVIS

PROJECT NAME: ADL 234660 - Trapping Cabin Permit Application

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION:

West of the Alaska Range and northwest of Lake Clark, 10.6 miles north of the confluence of Mulchatna River and Chilikadrotna River, just south of an unnamed lake near McKinley Creek and Halfway Mountain

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

Section 26, Township 8 North, Range 35 West, Seward Meridian

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: A 10-year Trapping Cabin Permit for the use and maintenance of one existing trapping cabin (12'x14' cabin with 8'x8 shed) along his established trapline near Halfway Mountain, to be used in conjunction with seasonal trapping activities. This cabin was previously authorized to Cheryl Whitney for seasonal trapping from 1997-2017.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: November 2026
End: March 2036

(Seasonal use, November - March)

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: April 6, 2026

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
