Faculty Recital: "Into the woods ...and home before dark"
Music, Department of Thursday January 29, 2026
Wednesday, Feb. 4 A faculty and guest artist recital, titled, "Into the woods . . . and home before dark" will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Max Noah Recital Hall at Georgia College & State University. Featuring faculty member, Caroline Cooke, soprano, her collaborative pianist Cassie Pierson, as well as faculty member and clarinetist Rebecca Cooke, the recital includes works of Massenet, Schubert, Jake Heggie, and others. The theme of the program is "the use of nature in storytelling as a metaphor for a journey or transformation." This concert will also be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/GCMusicDepartment. A $5 donation is encouraged. Online donations can be made at give.gcsu.edu/g/department-of-music/.
