The result was announced during ISC25, Europe's biggest conference dedicated to High Performance Computing, where the Top 500 ranking list and the Green500 ranking are published.
The ISC 25 took place like previous years in Hamburg between 10 and 13 June. It is the biggest European conference dedicated to HPC. Every year during ISC, the TOP500 ranking list and the Green500 ranking are published. EuroHPC participated with a stand that presented AI Factories, HPC systems and projects showcasing their work.
The European Union is committed and determined to become a global leader in Artificial Intelligence, a leading AI continent. A key precondition for achieving this ambition is a high-capacity effective, safe digital infrastructure including sufficient computing power and networks.
Jupiter will make a substantial contribution to achieving this goal. The Jupiter AI Factory was selected in March 2025 as part of the EuroHPC JU's initiative to establish AI Factories across Europe. AI Factories will leverage the supercomputing capacity of the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking to develop trustworthy cutting-edge generative AI model. The AI Factories will be networked together and connected to other major AI support initiatives, such as the Testing and Experimentation Facilities, offering dedicated resources for testing AI solutions, and the network of European Digital Innovation Hubs.
