Durango-La Plata Senior Center announces new hours

The Durango-La Plata County Senior Center, located at 2424 Main Ave. in Durango, will have new hours of operation effective Monday, Feb. 3.

The Senior Center will be open to the public from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Grab & Go meals will be available for Thursday pickup to those individuals requesting a Friday meal. Home delivered meal service will continue to be scheduled and delivered Monday through Friday.

The new operating schedule will provide extended daily hours for activities and transportation services. The Friday closure applies only to the Senior Center building and will allow for additional capacity to provide wholesome and nutritious meals to meet the increased need for the Meals on Wheels program throughout La Plata County.
