Houchin Applauds Trump Administration for Selecting Indiana as National Drone Test Site

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congresswoman Erin Houchin (IN-09) praised the Trump Administration's announcement designating Indiana as one of two new national Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) test sites, a move expected to attract investment, create jobs, and accelerate the growth of America's drone industry.

The designation follows strong support from Indiana's federal delegation, including a letter signed by Congresswoman Houchin urging the Federal Aviation Administration to select Indiana based on its readiness to support large-scale testing and deployment of drone technologies.

"This is a major win for Indiana and for America," said Congresswoman Houchin. "The test site will create new jobs and investment while ensuring the United States continues to lead the world in drone innovation and production."

Indiana's selection builds on President Trump's efforts to strengthen America's leadership in drone technology and secure U.S. airspace by accelerating domestic testing, development, and production of American-made systems.
