Orrick Adds Energy M&A Partner in Houston

  • Nick Woodruff joins Orrick as a partner on its Energy & Infrastructure team in Houston.
  • Nick advises on strategic and public M&A and has extensive experience in private equity across the oil & gas, power, renewables and infrastructure industries.
  • Nick recently advised Brookfield Infrastructure Partners in a joint venture with GATX Corporation to acquire Wells Fargo & Company's rail car leasing business for $4.4 billion and Triton International Limited, a subsidiary of Brookfield Infrastructure Partners, in its $1 billion acquisition of Global Container International LLC.
  • This hire continues Orrick's momentum in building out its global Energy & Infrastructure platform, to which the firm recruited 18 partners in 12 markets in 2025, including Anna Howell to lead Orrick's global Oil & Gas practice.
  • Nick joins from Skadden.
