Reminder: Chariton County Route KK bridge to close Dec. 15…

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted E&C Bridge, LLC to complete a bridge deck replacement project on four bridges in Carroll, Chariton and Livingston counties. The Chariton County Route KK bridge over the Little Chariton River, north of Glasgow, is scheduled to close beginning Monday, Dec. 15.

Traffic Impacts: The Route KK bridge is expected to be closed beginning Dec. 15 through March 2026. Motorists will need to seek an alternate route around the closure.

Listed below are the other bridges included in this project:

• Carroll County Route JJ bridge over West Fork Wakenda Creek, northwest of Norborne. The bridge is expected to reopen in mid-December 2025.
• Carroll County Route B bridge over Sambo Creek, south of Wakenda. The bridge is expected to reopen in mid-January 2026.
• Livingston County Route D bridge over the Shoal Creek Drainage Ditch, south of Ludlow. The bridge was reopened on Dec. 10.
