Buffalo State students give back through the Contribution Project

Buffalo State students Caleb Kruzicki and Chris Boadi used funding received through the Contribution Project, to arrange for Lloyd Tacos to be given out at St. Vincent DePaul's Dining Room, where meals are served to community members in need. The duo documented the experience on TikTok under their shared handle @salt.pepper716.

The Contribution Project is a project of the Purpose Commons in collaboration with PSiX at Cornell University. The Contribution Project accepts applications from young people ages 14-25 living in the United States who are seeking to make an impact on their community, school, or neighborhood and offers $400 to accepted contributors to pursue their ideas.

"I was honored to support the students who applied and received this funding," said Denise Harris, director of Buffalo State's Career and Professional Education Center. "I was amazed by their creativity and thoughtfulness, which transformed not only our campus but also the local community."
