IPA Open Educational Publishers Forum Meeting in Frankfurt

Open to all educational publishers, the traditional Friday morning Open Meeting of IPA's Educational Publishers Forum to look at teachers' relationships with publishers, how democracies depend on reading and the educational publishing environment in China.

Taking place at 9am on Friday 17 October in Conclusion in the Congress Centre, we will be delighted to welcome speakers from the German Association of Grammar School Teachers, the Johannes Gutenberg University and China Education Publishing and Media Group.

The full programme is as follows:

Welcome: Brian Gilsenan, Chair of EPF

Session 1: Our mission: Supporting teachers

§ Prof. David Di Fuccia, Professor of Chemistry Education, German Association of Grammar School Teachers will share some thoughts from the teachers' perspective on how well publishers support them.

Session 2: Democracies depend on Reading

§ Prof. Christoph Bläsi, Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz will update us on the Democracies depend on Reading initiative.

Session 3: The Educational Publishing Environment in China

§ Yu Chunchi, Vice Chairman of China Education Publishing and Media Group and member of IPA Executive Committee will share some positive developments in education and reading policies, and the use of tech in China.

Session 4: IPA-EPF International Roundup

§ A panel session of regional updates and key issues from Europe, LatAm, ASEAN, Africa and Australia.
