Minister of Foreign Affairs Varsen Shahin began an official visit to Poland at the invitation of her counterpart, Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs

Minister of Foreign Affairs Varsen Shahin began an official visit to Poland at the invitation of her counterpart, Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski.

Shahin highlighted the practices of the Israeli occupation in the Palestinian territory, calling on the international community to take effective measures to hold Israel accountable and end impunity.

She referenced UN Security Council Resolution 2803 and the importance of the Peace Council, stressing the need to move toward reconstruction and underscoring that Palestine's presence in such forums is essential.

The Minister also outlined Palestine's preparations to hold elections across all Palestinian territories occupied since June 4, 1967, without exception, once conditions allow, including a sustainable ceasefire in Gaza and an end to settler violence in the West Bank.
