WASHINGTON, D.C., November 4, 2025 - The American Clean Power Association (ACP) issued the following statement from ACP CEO Jason Grumet after Abigail Spanberger was announced as the winner of Virginia's gubernatorial race:

"The American Clean Power Association congratulates Governor-elect Abigail Spanberger on her victory in Virginia.

"Governor-elect Spanberger has a plan for the Commonwealth to keep energy costs low by supporting new investments that create jobs. Her leadership will ensure continued investment in immediately available and reliable clean energy. ACP appreciates the Governor-elect's recognition that the most effective answer to rising energy demand is increasing supply now-not in 3-5 years. All the above energy policy is the bipartisan path to keep energy affordable for families.

"ACP stands ready to work with the Spanberger administration and policymakers across Virginia to strengthen the Commonwealth's energy security, meet rising electricity demand, and expand good-paying jobs in clean energy manufacturing, construction, and facility operation.
