On May 4, Columbia Police arrested Dariell Deshell Smith, 33, of Columbia, in connection with a stabbing that occurred in the 4500 block of Rice Road.
Smith was arrested on charges of first-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action.
Police officers responded to the stabbing call at about 2:30 a.m. and found that Smith had assaulted an adult male victim with a knife during a domestic disturbance. The victim was taken to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the stabbing and is in stable condition.
