City offices closed for Memorial Day holiday

In observance of the Memorial Day holiday, all city offices, libraries and facilities will close on Monday, May 25. Regular business hours will resume at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26.

Trash and recycling services are not affected by this closure. Residents should plan on their regular service days.

Even though city offices are closed, Buckeye's annual Memorial Day ceremony will take place at 8 a.m. on Monday, May 25 at the Louis B. Hazelton Memorial Cemetery, 23100 W. Broadway Road in Buckeye. The ceremony salutes all service personnel who paid the ultimate price for our country.

In downtown Buckeye, Buckeye's Hometown Hero Banners are prominently displayed on the thirty streetlight poles along Monroe Avenue. Each year, thousands of residents and visitors alike will see the tribute to those who have courageously served our nation.
