NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
LAS 36007
Advanced Blasting Services, LLC

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Advanced Blasting Services, LLC

PROJECT NAME: LAS 36007

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Located on state lands within the gravel pit off the Richardson Highway MP 174, approx. one mile east of Paxson Lake.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: SE1/4SW1/4 Section 30, Township 13 North, Range 1 West, Copper River Meridian

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Applicant Advanced Blasting Services is requesting a land use permit for the seasonal placement of travel trailers/RVs within an existing gravel pit on state land located near milepost 174 of the Richardson Highway. The authorization would allow the placement of up to seven travel trailers or RVs (approx. 20-40 feet in length) between May and September 2026. These units would be used as crew lodging in support of the Richardson Hwy MP 167-173 construction project, conducted in coordination with AKDOT&PF.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: May 2026
End: September 2026

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: May 27, 2026

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written or emailed comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
