The Bellflower City Council recently adopted its first Urban Forest Master Plan (UFMP), a comprehensive roadmap that will guide the sustainable management, care and expansion of trees throughout our community. The UFMP establishes a long-term vision for protecting and enhancing Bellflower's urban forest across the City's public spaces. By proactively caring for and expanding the City's tree canopy, the UFMP aims to improve the visual appeal and quality of life for our residents by supporting neighborhood beautification, providing shade, promoting environmental resilience, and creating long-term community benefits for generations to come. The community participation helped ensure that the UFMP reflects the needs, values, and vision of the people who live, work, and play in our city. Thank you for helping us plan for a healthier, greener, and more resilient future.
