The Mexican Government announces that parcel shipments to the United States will resume as of March 25, under the new requirements established by the U.S. government and in accordance with international postal regulations.
The Mexican Postal Service (Correos de México), in keeping with its commitment to the public, will maintain current shipping rates. However, senders must comply with the new requirements applicable to merchandise shipped to the United States, including a 10% charge on the declared value of each package, collected by the U.S. government.
Additional requirements include a maximum declared value of $800 per shipment, a maximum weight of 20 kilograms, and a detailed declaration of the contents and country of manufacture of all items. Shipments will travel directly from Mexico to the United States, with no third-country intermediary.
The Mexican Government reaffirms its commitment to providing reliable, transparent, and accessible service for everyone, strengthening connections between families and communities in both countries.
