Nufi: "Albania remains a committed and reliable Ally, contributing to regional and Euro-Atlantic security"
Defence Minister Ermal Nufi participated in the NATO Defence Ministers' Meeting held in Brussels, bringing together allied defence leaders to discuss the Alliance's key security and defence priorities in an increasingly complex strategic environment.
The discussions focused on strengthening collective defence, enhancing military readiness, and ensuring that NATO remains prepared to address emerging security challenges and evolving threats across the Euro-Atlantic area.
Throughout the meeting, allies reaffirmed the importance of unity, solidarity, and sustained investment in defence as essential pillars of NATO's deterrence and defence posture.
Commenting on the meeting, Minister Nufi underlined that strong cooperation among Allies and continued modernization of military capabilities are fundamental to preserving peace and security.
"Cooperation among allies, investment in defence, and the modernization of military capabilities are the strongest guarantee for safeguarding peace, security, and the values that unite us." - Minister Nufi stated.
The Minister also reaffirmed Albania's unwavering commitment to NATO and its responsibilities within the Alliance.
"Albania will continue to contribute with responsibility, determination, and solidarity as a committed and reliable NATO Ally. We remain dedicated to strengthening our role as a contributor to stability, security, and collective defence in the region and across the Euro-Atlantic community." - Minister Nufi emphasized.
The meeting once again demonstrated the Alliance's shared resolve to strengthen collective security and reinforce transatlantic unity in the face of a rapidly evolving security environment.
