Nexstar’s Iowa Television Stations To Air Live Debate Between Candidates for U.S. Senate

Debate Will Take Place on Tuesday, October 13, at 9 p.m. CT

DES MOINES, IA - Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: NXST), today announced that its television stations serving Iowa will air a live, multi-market telecast of a debate between candidates for U.S. Senate, Republican nominee U.S. Representative Ashley Hinson, and Democratic nominee Iowa State Representative Josh Turek. The debate, titled "Debate Night in Iowa," will take place on Tuesday, October 13, from 9 p.m. CT to 10 p.m. CT, and originate from the studios of WHO 13 in Des Moines.

The debate will be moderated by WHO 13's Amanda Krenz and KCAU's Tim Seaman, both of whom have deep experience covering Iowa politics and statewide issues. The debate will focus on topics most important to voters, including immigration, education, health, agriculture, and technology.

The debate will be carried live on multiple Nexstar television stations serving Iowa, including WHO-TV in Des Moines (WHO 13) and KCAU-TV in Sioux City (KCAU 9 News). Mission Broadcasting's KLJB-TV in Quad Cities (Our QC News), Allen Media Group's KWWL-TV in Cedar Rapids, The E.W. Scripps Company's KMTV-TV in Omaha, Rincon Broadcasting Group's KTVO-TV in Ottumwa, and Hubbard Broadcasting's KAAL-TV in Northeast Iowa also will air the live debate.

The event will also be streamed live on the digital platforms of participating Nexstar TV stations, with excerpts airing nationally on NewsNation and The Hill.
