DALLAS, March 24, 2026- Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) announced changes to the GoPass® application beginning March 25, 2026. Some of these changes require user action.
What is changing:
Beginning March 25, GoPass® users with stored payment methods will be prompted to update their payment information in the app.
GoPass® users will need to update the app to version 4.11.1 via the Google Play or Apple App stores and then update their stored payment method.
Version 4.11.0 will no longer support payments. Users will be prompted to download the new version and update stored payment information to purchase passes via the app.
Those using Google Pay or Apple Pay will be able to continue using that form of payment in the app but will be required to update GoPass® to version 4.11.1.
GoPass Tap Cards will be suspended temporarily in GoPass® beginning March 31, 2026, and day pass vouchers will no longer be validated via the app.
All riders using GoPass Tap Cards who wish to book GoLink trips will need to do so by calling Customer Service at 214-979-1111 or 214-515-7272.
Riders can still book GoLink rides in the app when using in-app purchased tickets.
Why is GoPass® making these changes:
GoPass® is changing payment platform providers. To keep financial information- like credit or debit card numbers-safe, the stored payment information will not transfer to the new payment provider, and users will need to re-enter their information.
DART identified an issue with GoPass Tap Card validation via the app and has chosen to temporarily suspend the ability to use GoPass Tap Cards or day pass vouchers to book GoLink trips in the app.
Tickets purchased in-app can still be used to book GoLink trips in the app.
What do GoPass® users need to do:
Update the GoPass® application to the newest version on March 25, 2026.
Users with stored payment information should expect a prompt to re-enter their preferred payment method on March 25, 2026.
GoPass Tap Card and day pass voucher users will need to call Customer Service to book GoLink trips moving forward.
