FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 26, 2025 VICTORVILLE, Calif. - Get ready for a frightfully fun day of community service! The City of Victorville invites residents, businesses, and community groups to take part in its next Community Cleanup Day on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This Halloween-themed volunteer event is an opportunity for individuals of all ages to help beautify Victorville by removing litter from local roads and public areas. Those interested in volunteering can register online at VictorvilleCA.gov/CCU. The registration deadline is Oct. 3 at 5 p.m. Although optional, volunteers are welcome to wear family-friendly costumes as part of the seasonal fun. Costumes must be appropriate for all ages. Fake weapons, blood, and face masks that obstruct vision are not allowed for safety reasons. Costumes should also allow for safe movement during the cleanup. All participants must wear closed-toe shoes for safety. Registered volunteers will receive a free limited-edition tote bag (while supplies last), litter cleanup supplies, and discount lunch coupons from participating Victorville restaurants. The City will handle proper disposal of all litter collected during the event. Local businesses are encouraged to get involved by sponsoring the event. Sponsors will be recognized on the event tote bag given to hundreds of volunteers, in thank-you ads, and on the City's website and social media platforms. Interested businesses should call (760) 955-3306 or email
[email protected] for more information. Victorville Community Cleanup Day is a long-standing tradition held each April and October.
