Solutions Through Innovation and Partnership with Global Partners including Japan

Global Leaders United for Climate Action at COP30 in Belém

Latin America and the Caribbean lose an estimated $1.2 million every hour to natural disasters such as hurricanes, floods, and droughts. Despite over $100 trillion in global assets, only 2% reaches the regions and sectors that need it most.

At UNFCC COP30 in Belém, Brazil, the IDB showcased innovative solutions to strengthen climate adaptation and resilience, hosting more than 80 events aimed at mobilizing at least $6 billion for sustainable development in the Amazon and beyond.
